With all of our knowledge about how the human body works, knowing its intolerance of unnatural elements, why are we, as medical patients, so accepting of the idea that we should be treating ourselves with synthetic drugs that are virtually poison to our body? To relieve one symptom we acquire two or three new symptoms, a new chronic condition we need to deal with and, of course, another prescription medication to fill each month.

On the confidential questionnaire, 58 out of 64 doctors said that all chemotherapy programs were unacceptable to them and their family members. The overwhelming reason for this decision was that they believe the drugs are ineffective and have an unacceptable degree of toxicity. Do you imagine these same doctors are recommending chemotherapy treatment to shrink their patient’s tumors? Yes, indeed they are, as they must if they wish to follow standard protocol. You should note that when the parents hesitated to bring Alexander in for chemotherapy the oncologists were already preparing to take control by court order. The parents wanted to use a non-toxic treatment alternative, proven to be effective, and yet were forced to use an ineffectual, toxic treatment. I am afraid these parents may have been harmed twice over by the medical establishment for there is also the possibility that the brain tumor was caused by vaccinations containing Thimerosal, commonly used in vaccinations at that time and responsible for numerous cases of neurological disorders in children, such as autism, ADD/HD, and brain tumors.

The following procedures should be implemented immediately if a chemotherapy leak or spill should occur:


Put on a pair of disposable latex gloves.

If chemo has spilled on clothing, remove immediately and take a shower, scrubbing the exposed skin with soap and water. Watch for redness, blistering, or a burning sensation. Contact your nurse to report the spill. She will give you further instructions if necessary.

Remove any and all sharp objects, placing them into your sharps container or any can with a lid such as a coffee can.

Soak up the spill with an absorbent disposable material, such as paper towels.

Disinfect the spill area with soap and water or a household cleaner such as window cleaner, 409, alcohol, bleach, or liquid carpet cleaner.

Put the absorbent material and the gloves into a chemotherapy waste container or garbage bag and carefully mark it. It will be picked up later by the pharmacy personnel.

If a spill occurs on a patient’s or caregiver’s clothing or sheets, these articles should be washed separately from regular laundry in hot water.

If a spill occurs on unprotected furniture, the area should be scrubbed with soap and water and rinsed with clean water while wearing protective chemo safety gloves.

Patients and caregivers should be taught to use care when handling vomitus or excretions of the patient for 48 hours post treatment and to use good handwashing technique.
Now imagine the “spill” they are referring to as chemicals that an individual with cancer will be taking into their body because that is indeed the case.

By no means do I wish to demonize the medical profession as a whole because there are many quality doctors as well as instances when prescription drugs may be necessary, however, I encourage caution when taking advice that will affect your health. It is important to consider the possibility that sometimes the medical establishment may be leading us down the wrong path. Natural therapies may not be able to claim to cure or treat disease but sometimes you need to just take a step back and perform your own due diligence, take a look at the results and come to your own conclusion.

Cancer is a class of disease in which a group of cells display uncontrolled growth beyond the normal limits, intrude and destroy adjacent tissues and spread to other locations in the body via the lymph or the blood. Cancer can affect people of all ages and causes 13% of all deaths. According to the American Cancer Society, there are 7.6 million people who died from cancer in the world during 2007.

All cancer are caused by abnormalities in the genetic material of the transformed cells. These abnormalities are the effects of carcinogens brought about by tobacco, smoke, radiation, chemicals and other infectious agents.

Cancer symptoms are roughly divided into three groups. Local symptoms, symptoms of metastasis and systemic symptoms. Local symptoms include lumps or swelling, tumor, hemorrhage, pain and ulceration. Symptoms of metastasis include enlarged lymph nodes, cough, hemoptysis, hepatomegaly, bone pain, fracture and neurological symptoms. Systemic symptoms include weight loss, poor appetite, fatigue, excessive sweating, and cachexia.

Cancer can also be caused by ionizing radiation such as radon gas and prolonged exposure to ultraviolet radiation, viral or bacterial infection such as human papillomavirus, hepatitis B and hepatitis C, Epstein-Barr virus and human T-lymphotropic virus.

A modern way to treat cancer is Chelation therapy. Chelation therapy is US FDA approved alternative medication that is used for treatment on heavy metal poisoning such as lead, mercury, plutonium poisoning. Chelation therapy EDTA, which stands for ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid, is the synthetic amino acid which was firs produced in Germany.

Chelation therapy can also treat other disorders such diabetes, blood vessel diseases, autism, osteoarthritis, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, organic poisoning, macular degeneration and improve blood flow to the heart, legs and brain. Chelation therapy can treat cancer because heavy metal toxicity can contribute to cancer. These heavy metals help in the propagation of free radicals and as a result suppress the immune system.

BRCA1 is a gene which belongs in a class or category of genes known as tumor suppressors. The gene BRCA1 can mutate or be damaged and because of this mutation, there is a link with hereditary cancer particularly breast cancer in women. The BRCA1 gene can also mutate in men leading to breast cancer although this is much rarer with men than with women.

BRCA1 was only discovered in 1994 but its discovery means people are able to know the likelihood of possible cancer growths due to this gene being handed down through their family.

If you are concerned or curious about BRCA1, you can have a sample of your blood tested to see if there is a mutation effect in your genes. If there is, this doesn’t mean you have cancer or will get cancer but it does mean there is an increased likelihood you will acquire the disease.

There are steps you can take to counter this situation. Remember that early detection of cancer greatly increases the chances of defeating the disease.

The steps you can take include screening. This is highly recommended in any case. There are different methods of breast examination and new trials are always being carried out. Early detection is vital.

It is also possible to surgically remove tissue which is deemed to be potentially dangerous. This is no guarantee that cancer will not develop but it can seriously reduce the chances of the cancer beginning.

Lifestyle changes are equally important. Obesity, alcohol consumption, sensible exercise and a healthy diet are all factors which most people can control. You can and should take control of these aspects of your life and reduce the risk of becoming ill.

Awareness is also important. Knowing the fact that the risk increases with age and having knowledge of your family medical history is important. Educate yourself and be proactive rather than reactive.

Know too that things like the contraceptive pill and HRT may have an effect. Studies tend to discount the cancer links with the contraceptive pill but side effects from Hormone Replacement Therapy do suggest there may be a possible link with breast cancer in some women.

As is the case with all cancers, there are current studies being done to find ways to better detect, treat and prevent cancer in people who have a mutation in their BRCA1 gene. This is on-going work and sufferers should take heart in the breakthroughs which have happened already.

One side issue, although no less important, is that of obtaining health insurance. In the United States new legislation has only recently been prepared which will make it illegal for a person with a certain condition such as the BRCA1 mutation gene, to be discriminated against in seeking to obtain medical insurance.
